"I know because I work at NIH and we purchase certain large name producers of it (HOCL).

So who does the NIH purchase theirs from? Is it the same quality and price as what Clean Republic sells? Are you going to try to get them to switch?

As far as the shelf life, if I order a gallon from Clean Republic I'll have to use it ASAP before it "degrades" in 2-4 weeks? And presumably that doesn't include the time required to package and time in transit. Who's gonna overnight or express ship a 9lb gallon jug of disinfectant from Georgia to the far corners or the US?

I ask all these questions because there seems to be some perception here that Byoplanet and Clean Republic have something that's not only revolutionary and disruptive but that a global, multi-billion dollar, unserved market is breathlessly waiting for. But as I see it, aside from claims about the superior nature of their sprayers, the chemicals they dispense are a relatively simple, fairly inexpensive and non-proprietary having been discovered in the mid 1800's.

Additionally, the claims that the exact same sprayers --branded as "BCool" (previously as Brita Cool back in 2019)-- have some sort of magical superior cooling benefits. As best I can tell it simply produces a fog-like effect (like my old ultrasonic humidifier) vs a fan/ mist system. Both apparently achieve "thermoregulation." Wonder why they dropped the BRITA affiliation. What are they using now..local tap water? https://www.instagram.com/britacoolofficial/?hl=en
