I (and others) have long thought about assembling a book on the similar now-dead LOCH/CDEX scam.that went on for 19 years and soaked PPers over and over and over. One guy who was the trustee of the family oil trust in Kansas blew millions in that scam and wasted ALL the family trust funds chasing his losses in endless PPs and CONvertible note "deals". Another oiil guy, ROBERT WAYNE STEWART also lost millions in PPs and CONverts. Just in the CDEX arm of the scam, at least $46M was raised and disappeared into several circles of insider circle-flies over 15 years. Add in the prior LOCH losses and it is over $100M in PPer munny that vanished.

It is very inneresting story and, like MRGE, is based in lifetime TEXAS pennyscamming/investor crooks and career grifters very similar to CMW - indeed the LOCH/CDEX scam also had depleted oil well BS in the Petrotech subsidiary which was a farce - like CMW's oil well crapola.

And MRGE is also very similar to MMEX's scam with TEXAS career grifter Crooked JACK HANKS who is a near identical-twin scammer to CMW - it seems these TEXAS boyos have a local con game running these same scams, often oil/gas. For CMW's Tidelands, Gambit, 4Ward, Crooked JACK HANKS has Maple Resources, or 14 other pawns just like it.

There must be a school or club in Texas that shows these guys how to run basically the same con over and over and over. - and on the same victims over and over and over.

I suspect some of this goes back to the old master limited partnerships based on oil and gas back in the '70s and '80s. Read Serpent On The Rock to understand that con game. When the MLP scam blew up, many of those grifters, like THOMAS HUZELLA, migrated to the pennystock scams - and he featured in LOCH/CDEX scam and other related ones. Heck, Tom may even know CMW and Crooked JACK HANKS personally. Butt Tom is retired now - sort of - still scamming butt nott in the pennyscams anymore - strictly low-level, low-observable private transaction grifting - real estate and coins mostly.
