Why would the good doctor (Amelio) need to correct or deny anything? It was reported right here on this board, a month or 2 previous to the alleged offer, that he and the EMU were plotting, er, ah, collaborating, ummm, working together for world peace....lol, to do whatever it took to give vplm price a boost from it's languishing... If it was setup ahead of time, which the previous post here had explained quite clearly, at least 1 month prior, then what's there to confirm or deny? He makes his offer, or at least vplm reports he made his offer and vplm ceremoniously rejects the fake offer. Many here, at the time, found the so called offer to be fake or fishy in some way. I was the 1st and that was long before I was pointed to the post that revealed EMUs and Emelios plans to boost the price. Of course, as before, no one will give a rats petoot about this news.
