Ramon Richards is Fannie Mae’s Chief Information Officer and Executive Vice President, reporting to the President. He is responsible for Fannie Mae’s technology assets, cyber security, enterprise data assets, and implementing digital solutions that enable the business and deliver value for its customers. Under Mr. Richards’ leadership, the Chief Information Office (CIO) accelerates the enterprise’s technology transformation initiatives, enables comprehensive technology engagement with business partners, and defines the next horizon of technology priorities.
Mr. Richards is a member of the Management Committee, Fannie Mae’s leadership team. This reflects the vital importance of data and data security to Fannie Mae’s business, as well as the company’s continued commitment to digital transformation.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Richards was Senior Vice President – Integrated Technology Solutions. He joined Fannie Mae in 1999 and has served as Senior Vice President – Securitization and Servicing Technology, Vice President – Securitization and Credit Technology, and Vice President for Finance and Corporate Function Technology, among other roles.
Mr. Richards holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Morehouse College, a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
