"Buy Quality and Diversify." I think that's about the simplest way to put it, and I've long searched for something with fewer words. I don't think Buffett is doing the average investor any good when he's quoted saying "Diversification is Important For Those Who Don't Know What They're Doing." Dividends and diversification are important; just make sure they don't fall short. For example, just out today...
