The delay was not only from customs, but also from additional roadblocks between the airport and Prodigy.

You could be right that the parent line eggs were sent to Prodigy but referred to as the silkworm farm by mistake. If they sent a large quantity of eggs, Prodigy could have produced Gen1 hybrids by about March 27. Having to rear one generation of the parent lines before producing some hybrid eggs means the first hybrid eggs could have been available around May 26 by my calculations. Two generations to expand the breeding pool means the first hybrid eggs would be about July 24.

I noted that the latest newsletter omitted any discussion of activities at Prodigy. Like many things KBLB, the mystery can’t be resolved with the available data. We will have to wait until we learn more before the truth is understood. If ever…
