#Tesla’s CEO is controversial at times, but I agree with his following points:

1. #lithium #refining and domestic production of lithium hydroxide is “significant choke point” in the processing. Investments in lithium mines alone will not be enough.

2. #manufacturing and heavy #industry represent “tremendous opportunity”. More talent is needed in the development and manufacturing of #heavyequipment and #heavymachinery. Most of equipment for #gigafactories is made in Asia.

3. synthetic #graphite doesn’t get as much attention as #silicon based anode chemistries, yet “there’s a big market for it.” Musk recommended entrepreneurs to look into supplying it.
