“The GBM panelist at the Moonshot meeting has said he had surgery, radiation and 12 rounds of TMZ. He tried Optune for 2 months but found it not worth the hassle, side effects and risk benefit. It is so rare and unusual to have that length of survival with that treatment regimen.

A neuro oncologist I know said that the only long lived patient he had in about 30 years of practice was a man who was in a car accident and had an CT scan to rule out a brain injury. They coincidentally found a 1 cm or less brain tumor that turned out to be GBM. Because it was so early stage, they were able to get a very clean rescission and follow on treatment was successful. It is possible that this man also caught his very early but those details are not included in his description of his condition.”
