A few days ago, the World Tourism Organization published the figures of the number of tourists in Albania, which showed an increase of 54% compared to the period before the pandemic, thus occupying the first place in Europe for the largest increase.
Today, a group of Dutch and American tourists during a direct connection from Thethi for the show 'Studio Live' with journalist Arbër Hitaj on Report TV rated Albania with a '10' for what it offers to tourists from different countries. They said they would recommend it to all their friends.
"We came for The Peaks of the Balkans trail. We are delighted and our expectations have been exceeded. It is so beautiful, with such beautiful mountains and plains. We give Albania a 10 for tourism. We will recommend it to our friends" - said one of the tourists.
But on the other hand, Polia, the owner of Bujtina where the tourists were staying, brought to attention another problem which according to him is the lack of electricity in this area. He said that despite the fact that the electricity produced by the HPP in Theth is apparently not enough and the lights are turned off every evening.
"We continue to have problems with energy, we had promises that it would be fixed, but as is already known, there is negligence. We have a HPP here in the area and apparently the energy it produces is not enough. Every evening the lights are turned off. This really costs us a lot of problems" - said the owner of the inn
Regarding reservations, he said that the situation is quite good and that there is an ever-increasing number of foreign tourists.
