I checked with Schwab today to make sure that when my TDAmeritrade account gets transferred to them next week, that it will continue to be a cash account, as opposed to a margin account. It will. They already had it set up that way.

But, it's not like short sellers seem to be worried about having to provide shares. I wish that I could understand that, but I can't. Things like a potential stock-for-stock merger agreement, or a float that is 192% of our OS, don't seem to phase short sellers in the least.

I think if they're looking for a heads-up, they may see a guillotine. I wish I could make some sense out of it.
