Actually for the bids to be even considered, going in, they typically have a profit margin of 60% +/- already locked in. This is due to government delay / red tape / utilizing sub-contractors / change orders, etc., etc. No company is going into this type of project, of this scale, with a 10% profit margin--they would be wiped out due to the unforeseen. As this project ramps up and bugs get worked out and MSL does more work with equipment they have purchased with the $100 mil line of credit, expect those profit margins to increase substantially.
