LOL....That's nice and all, but he totally used that quote (should I say misquote) out of context.
I've met a couple people in my life similar to Musk, he is at a different intellect level than most everyone, but has no ability to socialize with people.
He's not quite Rain Man, but he's not that far off either. He was meant to be an inventor, not a CEO. Think Nikola Tesla ironically.
He has totally ticked off the very people who are most likely to buy his product and as an inventor, he doesn't need to care. As a CEO of a public company he does.
