A mentor of mine always said slap the ask, especially when selling. It was understood that slapping the ask when buying was a given. That being said, MM's jobs are to make a market and provide liquidity. Part of that process is establishing a bid-ask spread. They have algo's that manipulate the spread (widen) it based on the V. Supposedly the spread widens when there is no volume. This is where MM's get retail. They use that "given" to manipulate the spread and search for bid-sitters, and thus marginalize the PPS. And the bid-sitting retail folks walk right in all proud they got xyz P. Can we please slap the ask when buying and selling. It may take longer to sell, and your buy may not exactly be on the ask P, but it will get the PPS moving in the right direction. Bid-sitting kills any and all momentum.

Long GDVM, GLTA!
