Option trading will be next to nothing until liquidity improves in the common. MM's will not make markets in large numbers unless they can hedge. You cannot hedge when the underlying is thinly spread.

It would appear that someone got wind of news coming and the option start was not what they expected. Hence the back to reality move this morning.
