Half of mining projects in Quebec come from Nord-du-Québec

Active mines

In Nord-du-Québec, there are 5 active mines out of a total of 21 in Québec, including two nickel mines with Nunavik Nickel (Canadian Royalties) and Raglan (Glencore Canada Corporation). One mine mines diamonds with Diamant Renard (Stornoway Diamonds Canada) and two operate gold mines: Casa Berardi (Hecla Québec) and Éléonore (Newmont Corporation).
