The honda that I purchased has a 3% - 4% higher odometer reading than the actual travel. This results in between 1 and 2 more MPG. That gives the driver a false sense of a betterment. Some of the OEM's that we have discussed here have paid hundreds of millions of dollars to gain 1 to 2 MPG, while Honda cheated on it. Very interesting.
Interesting that the article focuses on the warranty and not the real concern which is the MPG results. However, I agree the warranty issue is important too.
