I'm not sure "invested" is the right word. It sure seems they are stuck and have convinced themselves, despite all evidence, that this just has to go back up with exponential returns. Unfortunately, history (and experience) shows this just continues to drop. Sure, there may be a run every few years when the FOG need some incentive to suck in new fish, but rest assured there will likely be few outside the inner circle who profit, let alone break even.
