DNA Witness™

DNAWitness™ 2.5 is the world’s first presumptive DNA test for the determination of bio-geographical ancestry. The test combines the knowledge gained from the Human Genome Project, high throughput DNA analysis, and advanced statistical algorithms to find the most likely population affiliation of a suspect and also provides the relative racial admixture of an individual. The test currently generates profiles that identify four bio-geographical ancestry groups: European, East Asian, Sub-Saharan African and Native American.

DNAWitness™ has been used in a number of cases, ranging from cold cases where the investigator didn’t have good leads to cases where they had conflicting evidence or conflicting eyewitnesses. It helps investigators to focus efforts with more confidence on leads that make sense from the beginning of the investigation.
