So I guess this Bench trial announcement pretty much shoots down my guess about Gilstrap dropping any enhancement figure next Friday. Looks like this is what he is using the bench trial for. To put pressure on Samsung and force them into an agreement to pay for the continuing use of Netlist IP. Their attitude (and hopefully willingness) to do that will guide him on how much enhanced damages to add to the jury award.

Plus, doing it this way will probably make it hard for any higher court to justify granting an appeal to this jury trial.

Gilstrap is a pretty smart cookie.
