Free trade:

I'm a staunch supporter of free trade. What ever we have going on between USA and Mexico isn't free trade.

I have a retired friend living on a sailboat in Mexico. He has one heck of a time getting anything through customs. Anything sent from the states cost again as much to get across the border. All of his friends that go to visit pack a change of shorts and 75 pounds of boat parts.

Canada isn't any better. They flood the US with subsidized natural resource goods (timber).

In my state, the Soviet of Washington, we always lag the rest of the country by two years coming out of a recession (911 induced). This inspite of the fact we lie in an ideal place on the Pacific Rim.

It would not be a surprise if our manufactoring jobs, Boeing, end up in Cotton's home town. Over the years, many Northern states have shipped their blue collar jobs to the Southern states. There is no reason for it except bad politics.
