Well that about wraps it up! They have him tight now. He won't get out again for many many years.
Will he stew in a remand jail for months and then do himself further harm at trial, or do the smart thing, end the pantomime and cut a deal that sees him in a federal prison doing less and potentially easier time?
I seriously expect a plea to be entered, now. No one is listening to his lies any more. He has used up the benefit of any reasonable doubt long since and many times over.
I could ruefully point out that a not insignificant part of the legal 'presumption of innocence' for those awaiting trial is that you don't actually persist in conspicuously committing the offence once you have been indicted for it. A nuance that was maybe lost on Berman, but clearly not on the presiding judge!
He's out of options now, apart from perhaps the insanity route.
