As you could suppose, I am defensive. As I have written before, I am coming to a stage of my life where a major boner is painful, indeed, and more difficult to set right. I give a steady cash flow into my own pocket, i.e. dividends, interest, distributions, preference.

So, about 1/3 of my portfolio is money market, or equivalent. Sort of dry powder, if I should ever again feel risk on.

I think that taxes are not heading down. The whole tax spiel today is garbage, inflation is soaking the little guy not the $400,000 plus. Yeah, it’s the truth, I’m not kidding…, no joke. I have been taking gains as soon as they are long term. Before, I’m not kidding, unrealized long term gains are taxed in the name of equity. No joke.

So, cash. Next, a large bunch of pipeline, midstream stuff, some limited partnerships others not. Good tax advantaged pay outs, I could probably be comfortable just on that. No more producers, I have sold them all except a minor position in PXD. They were good to me, good gains and good dividends while waiting a couple of years.

This speaks for the majority of my portfolio, a year ago I started a position in STLA (good dividend, at least for now), for kicks a small position in POAHY - dividend, but unexciting - a REIT, SPG, that sort of thing… all in the black on all, but Porsche. (Tears) I buy nothing that does not pay out at least something. No Bitcoin. Not much in healthcare, a few shares of CVS, which I might regret even if pocket change. It is a matter of pride. He he.

We‘ll see what is next.
