You may be right about massive volumes preceding significant pullbacks but there was just healthy volume today. Healthy volume is very typical of bull moves and it is logical, as a value proposition will attract more interest than a non value proposition. So this is in keeping with my view of the current status of the PM markets. Also, in tracking markets you will very frequently see massive volume spokes that can go on for a considerable time, the first day or two of a substantial leap in volume is simply the acceleration of are climb that is going vertical. In looking at bull moves, you can see these things going on for many weeks (even months) at a time, depending on the particular market. And there is some truth to the saying that in bull markets 80% of the move occurs in the last 20 percent of the time of the entire bull move higher. This saying repeats endlessly in a true bull market climb, where you see the pattern somewhat consistently play out over a period of many years in repeating fractals on the way up, the stock advancing, then accelerating and finally petering out in a retracement.
