TIRANA - The International Tourism Convention will hold its work in Tirana for three consecutive days. The Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Belinda Balluku, spoke at this important event, while saying that the Albanian government is working to absorb foreign investments. She said that foreign investors have requested a number of conditions, which have already been met thanks to the work of the Albanian government.
"It is better to hear from our friends and partners, because they are the true witnesses of the work. Here we are not only talking about tourism, but also about the package that the Albanian government has offered since 2015. Regarding foreign investments, they should come to Albania, because this government has worked hard to offer them by fulfilling some from their requests. One of the requests I received from investors was transparency, fair rules of the game and competition and what is called the fast lane," said Balluku.

As for investment figures, Balluku said that in 2022, foreign investments in the country will reach 1.3 billion euros. According to her, the government's vision is to turn Albania into a leading country in the region in the field of tourism and renewable energy.
"The change has arrived by looking at the numbers. The volume of foreign investments in 2022 has reached 1.3 billion compared to 2012, which was somewhere around 800 million. The numbers speak clearly. The Government of Albania has a vision to make Albania the most important country in the region for tourism, renewable energy, connecting infrastructure and critical sectors that contribute to our economy", added Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku./ nmabcnews.al
