have 5', yep, 5 FEET of snow to shovel.......
4' to 6' drifts, yep, 4 feet to 6 feet..........
wind has been brutal since last nigfht
just wondering what I'll find dead this a.m.
been snowing and blowing since 4:15 a.m. winds up to 55 mph
but they do slow down to around 22 mph at times....
just howling out there
was so dang tired from yesterday, didn't get the eggs washed......
was asleep by 8:30 p.m., it was a rough day.....
and today....IS GONNA BE even better....
snowing and blowing until 5 p.m. at least.
couldn't mix hay yesterday
all could do was take chunks of a bale in the bucket
then go to a spot, peel some off, and move to another and peel off more
all by hand and put it out, is gonna be the same today....
wonder how much is going to be dead out there........
By town they're getting slammed and they were plowing the flat pastures
since their cows are dropping calves like crazy
that's all flat old river bottom.......and best pastures in the county
but it'll be hell for them down there as well
like for one with 1000 head dropping calves......
one cow killer storm after another
it's so bad, can't move anything anywhere hardly now..
it sucks just walking outside in it.....fence post tops are gone everywhere
buried under snow.
My 8 foot posts are gone, extended the fence top with pieces of whatever
by 4 foot....down at one corner.....had 5 foot extensions on top
was filled to the top last night
no friggin idea how deep it is down there now
March in like a Lion and going out like some kind of unknown gigantic monster
no one here can remember a March as bad as this.......
