Victims of criminal fraud did not make bad investments any more than an individual who is violently raped by a stranger made a bad decision on selecting romantic partners. The perpetrators are both criminal predators.
It doesn't matter if one is right or wrong. Grieving over a bad decision doesn't solve anything either. Especially when there are lots of other opportunities out there.
