The misdemeanor/felony thing has been a hitch from the beginning..... If they are to bring charges it has to be a felony or wtf....And that's the gig, if you have to work so hard to get it to a felony, can you make it stick..... A big reason given for this being the first case also.....Then folks throw in Cohen, if he is the 'star' witness......that to can be iffy...............Then the sex thing and precedent...
The case can also be considered an accounting crime, if they get it, not just hush money....
Politically the cat is out a the bag anyway now whether they bring charges or not.....
You may be more informed than me so I don't know the details...But braggs top prosecutors publicly quit because they thought they had a heck of a case over the tax evasion stuff......fwiw
