Penny, The legal system is slow and deliberate. It requires process, and each leg of the process takes time ,cost, and disclosure. by in large.
So, for AABB to undertake , truly undertake, not just pay the cost of a well -written PR, would cost a LOT of Money, first a retainer, of arbitrary $25-50,000 just to start. A highly regarded attorney, or their junior partner would probably go for $500 per hour.
Once the Naked Shorter was actually served papers, he would ne on notice. He would instantly contact his attorney, and deny everything. They would make AABB PROVE it's case sufficiently , or more legal jousting.= $25,000 spent .on 50 hours, consultation and prep of the complaint, and the first response.
And that is just to get the ball rolling. The case would be in Court, once every two months, discovery, witnesses, if any. And the money keeps flowing.

One year later, and $$100,000 - 200,000 or more, available delays, meanwhile the shorter is shutting down the operation and doing whatever to prevent detection, and avoid liability and damages.

AABB , which has ,what? $50,000,000 dollars total, and has a crapload of projects in the potential works, IF they are, in fact 100% bona fide. Under-funded and trying to navigate toward recurring revenue, CAN AABB afford to get dragged into a fight ring and ...

Let's not forget that AABB will be put to task ,being required to disclose its possible dirty secrets, under penalty of perjury, one would expect.

In all honesty, I predict that the PR will amount to nothing more than a PR, to assuage the shareholders beating at the door, calling for someone's head.
