You might want to download the transcripts to see what was presented against Mark. There was an abundance of evidence against him. He also had three conspirators get up on the stand and testify against Mark. The jury took less than a day to convict on all counts. Now given your personal feelings, that's an almost inescapable situation for anyone. Given the same facts and swapping Mr X for Dr Schena it would be easy to see Mr X was guilty.

I do believe there will be a revision of EKRA but not in the way you expect. I think they will have tighter and clearer guidelines where unfortunately for Mark (and Haje, Jablonski and Mohan) they will still fall under its scope of breaking the law.

But it's now in the double down phase of the charges. He was convicted on all counts. He's requested a new trial and I'm guessing following with an appeal. So every legal stone will be turned over in this case. Even if he manages a little wiggle room in EKRA somehow, he's still looking at over a decade in prison for the other charges. He was caught red handed even when others continued to warn him of the consequences.

I don't believe he stocked up money as I think the same blinded vision that landed him in all of this trouble was the same vision that he kept telling himself about the stock. Which was it's in the pennies now but soon it will be in the dollars so why sell now? We have a building next to Apple and our twitter follower count compares favorably to Johnson & Johnson. We make the rules as we see it even if the law says otherwise. That approach was taken to the Grand Jury and then a Federal Jury and completely torn apart.

Regardless on how any of us truly feel about them personally all of the people that were caught and convicted will be facing their penalty soon. And in my opinion, they earned it.
