TIRANA, March 8/ATSH/ Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, at the same time Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, announced today that the government is continuing investments with the support of international financial institutions to strengthen the Albanian energy system, so that Albania becomes a net exporter. within the year 2029.
In the statement to the media after the meeting of the Council of Ministers, Balluku emphasized that in today's meeting the loan agreement with KfW of 50 million euros for investments in the energy sector was approved.
"Albania is already on a good path, as the projects and plans have been set on schedule to reach our objective of increasing the amount of energy produced by 4 Terrawatts by 2029, thus becoming a net exporting country", declared Balluku.
According to Balluk, all the steps that have been taken to strengthen this sector with the support of KfW during the last 4 years have yielded results.
Likewise, the Deputy Prime Minister informed that the Energy Exchange will start operating very soon.
