Broadway, I work for a company that produces a product that takes 18 months to design, test, produce & deliver. During that time, we get in bed with specific companies that produce supporting products, which require testing. Once we are satisfied with the results, we issue contracts to purchase those products based on our EAU.
BASF is MUCH larger than the company I work for, so they have a lot more to lose/gain from an interaction with an outside company. Therefore, it stands to reason that the testing period would be longer. They want to gauge the results from a number of units, and see how they operated. They want to see if there were failures, and if so, how many or if there were updates required to keep the units up to date, and if those updates were easily accomplished.
This one will take time...but it can be a HUGE lift to this stock once they ink the final deal.
