I think it reinforces the idea of some type of merger. It's better for the merging company to merge into a company that has a base of trader/investors, as opposed to going with an IPO when you're essentially unknown to the investor community.

I believe there are close to a 1000 followers just on ihub alone to reinforce my speculation.
