Rama: We didn't expect the EU to tell us that the Vjosa is the oldest wild river in Europe! They turned them into cats, we were left with tigers

February 27, 14:51

Prime Minister Edi Rama says that they have managed to avoid hydropower plants, while he does not hesitate to remember that they themselves raised the issue of protecting the Vjosa River.

"This is about hydropower plants that belong to the past, we have found ourselves before the fact and blocked the third one, but I don't know how much it consoles you that we blocked a situation from the Valbona river, which is one of the pearls of our region that had process started. We blocked everyone else, but not the one that was about to finish. We have heard a lot about Vjosa while we ourselves raised the case for Vjosa's defense. We did not wait for the EU to come and tell us that it is the old wild river in Europe that they turned from a tiger to a cat, we were left with a tiger. We have taken measures to declare Vjosa a national park and we will soon hold the ceremony for this.

For these hydropower plants, 2 you have fish from the past along with other serious wounds that we must face with a smile and with the Open Balkans that no one comes close to them because they say they live with the past". Rama said.
