How does a co-packer actually work with contracts to package & deliver goods?

1. Do they take on contracts that Alkaline88 pass to them to fulfill? And therefore have only a contract with Alkaline88 to package and deliver their goods to another party.

2. Or is it a hybrid of the two? Do they sign contracts with both Alkaline88 & Walmart?

3. Or something totally different?

I am guessing 2 which is why HIRU say they have contacts with companies like Walmart but is confusing folks around who the contract is actually with.
