The answer is a little more complicated than it looks.

Its certainly still possible that his attorneys withdrawal was purely finance related.
But if his attorney became aware of unethical conduct i.e. a blatant attempt to pervert the course of justice, then they would be compelled to withdraw, or else risk implicating themselves in the criminality being perpetrated.
I wonder of this is what has eventuated?



Given my background, I can tell you that it's not easy for a firm to walk away from a client based on a lack of payment once they taken on a case. Not saying that it's impossible, or that it happened here, but the latter is a much more likely scenario.

That being said, my money would be on the firm dropping this "rock star" based on his personality and inability to take their advice. As for the ghost-written letters. No way in hell that this would have happened under the firm's watch.

Berman is toast and he knows it.
