Not likely. With all due respect, every alternative league in the last 40 years has been an abject failure. Nobody goes the games, nobody watches on TV, nobody buys the merch, and soon the owners can't make payroll and it's over.
The best college players will continue to go to the NFL. The NFL is too deeply engrained in football fans' psyche for them to jump to another team/league.
