They'd just have to restructure their debt and ownership interests before emerging from bankruptcy.

This has certainly been a lesson for the industry to not ignore pressure build ups in pipes and malfunctioning pressure relief valves. It could have been a short duration stoppage and repair rather than a catastrophic explosion causing major damage and an 8 month outage if they had heeded the warning signs that occurred days before the explosion.
