"On the deadline day for the publication of South Africa's national biofuels strategy, biodiesel producer De Beers Fuel has showcased a new technology that could significantly increase the country's capacity to produce biofuels.

A new technology introduced by the company in partnership with Green Fuel Technologies of the US and Green Star Products, of the US, in Mookgopong, formerly Naboomspruit, in Limpopo, involved the growing of algae as a feedstock for biofuels production."
