Monday I flew from the Virgin Islands where I have lived for the last 17 years. San Juan - OK; Miami - OK; Cincinnati - 34F and rain,snow, 14F overnight with 3" of snow. Pretty miserable but doable. Wed I fly back. Cincy - 14F with ice and snow everywhere, wind about 20mph. I'm dying walking to the plane. They're deicing the plane and the whole deice truck has icicles hanging to the ground on it. I'm figuring if the weather hasn't killed me yet it's OK because I'm gonna end up as a smoldering barbecue in some cornfield between Cincy and Chicago. Chicago - 8F, lake snows, wind gusting 25mph and I gotta walk from the plane to the terminal. Suicide would have been more pleasant! We do the deice ting (no typo, it's the islands, mon!) in Chitown and I'm prayin' like a Baptist on Sunday. One more lift out of Chicago and I'm back to San Juan where they have palm trees and Fru-Fru drinks! Well, we made it and I prayed to the God of palm trees, beaches and turquoise waters in a big way yesterday, thankful to be back on St. Croix. Everyone should live in the same place as a Saint! ALL YOU PEOPLE LIVING ABOVE 25 DEGREES NORTH LATITUDE ARE NOT ONLY MASOCHISTIC, YOU ARE INSANE!!!!!!!!!
