What if shorts are being bear trapped, to short it waaaaay down here, and weak hands sell to folks planning a take over that retires 70-80% of the retail shares, then reduces the AS and then puts one hell of big hurt on the shorts as the remaining 20% of the OS runs to a dime, with naked shorts holding 5 times the OS of the entire stock?

If that happens, I would call it smart and brilliant. Use a great force against itself. Martial arts 101...
