I would think if you get the news you want, you get it out there on Monday or Tuesday morning, just a little after you see where the trading sentiment is going. People are already throwing money around.

If I have bad to not-so-great news, I am going to let that one out on a Friday right at the end of the trading day. Hope people forget about it over the weekend. Kinda like sneaking to a suspected abandoned corner when your stomach's been twisting you up all night in that crowded party.
