This could be a problem for Credo and AEC's. AEC cables cost between $825 and $1110 EACH at Legrand. Yes, that's EACH cable. I've seen DAC's for around $150 and ACC's can run into the several hundreds, but $1100? Even $825?

Yikes. I'm not sure what the ACC comparable version costs, but I sure don't think they are that much. Plus, not to mention they cost significantly more in power usage.

I'm not sure how many hyperscale data center operators are going to shell out that kind of dough just to have a re-timed solution when re-drivers from Spectra7 do the job just fine on their own.

I still think AEC's Will be used to a certain degree, but now I'm really glad we have the lowest cost/best performing re-driver solution.
