Do you know if the FA is considered a public record?

No joy I am afraid.
FAs are automatically sealed.
And this is fair enough when you think about it.
All should be equal before the law.
And Innocent people are sometimes subject to criminal prosecution. Why should everyone get to see all the details of an individuals private financial circumstances that must be submitted when applying to the public defender? From someone who may be innocent of all charges? Presumed innocence still applies.
We'll have to wait for a guilty vedict or plea at least before the daylight will be shone upon Berman's actual personal finances I suspect.
And if he isn't actually verifiably potless.. while claiming to be ... while on trial... for fraud... well I could almost admire the cojones that move would take. But the outcome would be be dire for him! Law enforcement are over him with laser focus. If he is trying it on he will get rumbled for sure.
The game is well and truly up now!
He has no cards left to play.
Public defender is not going to play along with any malingering scams.
Its a straightforward change of plea to guilty, or else proceed to trial and get a longer sentence off the back of it. Which it is depends where KB is on the Kubler Ross cycle. If he is through defiance and reaching acceptance then it will be over soon. Otherwise... just a few short months to go!
