Last quarter management raised the lower end of their earnings guidance, announced a $500 million stock buyback, and did their best to convince stockholders that they will manage through the headwinds with no negative impact to FFO over time. They also talked about the normal delays from Medicare to raise reimbursements. I remember 4.3% increases to the operators.

None of that seemed to help. The shorts have pushed this down using naked shorting and failure to deliver tactics. A strong report could cause a larger than expected rally.
