As these increased performance attributes only last one generation, it is vital that central silkworm egg production operations sustain each of these separate lines in order to create successive generations of hybrid crosses.

Why wasn't this caught in the lab? There should have been several test runs where proper QC should have discovered this flaw. Somebody dropped the ball and cost this company a few million dollars in lost (potential) revenue, and continued delays.

And, my prediction in my previous posting was not a dooms day scenario. It's just an observation of continued incompetency.
