I don't think that's media hype. It's one person's personal and profound epiphany, and an honest telling of how it made his appreciation for earth more profound. THAT was his point. Like people who experience hallucinogenics, OR stand at the rim of the Grand Canyon......
When you start to "grasp" HOW SMALL you, and all you know of IS SO SMALL in comparison to the cosmic order.....YES, IT IS VERY PROFOUND. THAT was what he was saying.
If I explained how I FELT doing things such as those, it doesn't mean I'm "hyping" them.
It's not really fair to misconstrue their personal assessment of their emotional state and dramatize it like it's something it really wasn't, saying it was only hype. I disagree with that.
