Well, I have a theory on this move. Good and bad. Mostly bad.

For a moment assume what would be a crux argument re dope to still be to a conservative? Firearms ownership and a Schedule I in the same sentence? Impossible. Perhaps, this is telling, as a great deal of said conservatives who own guns don't consider the Schedule I a legitimate schedule at all for Cannabis? More like booze? Now recall the current speaker openly supported SAFE in the past. SAFE Plus (or ATF&E SAFE) is coming. Will Chuck derail that? We really will know who is favorable shortly. And it might be super embarrassing for them in the Senate to do nothing a tenth time and try to blame Mitch (a third or fourth time) when he doesn't have the votes to stop it and never did previously. But the three musketeers (CS, RW, & CB) never let a vote be taken over 24-months with a majority party in the House, Senate and WH, did they? They too added SJ drama reforms to the extreme that made it impossible.

A little-known fact. In FL (D) for Govenor candidate, Nikki Fried sued the Democrat installed DOJ along the same lines --and lost. Badly. Well, THAT should tell us another thing...Re/descheduling should probably happen first or the impossible is a likely outcome AGAIN!

In the meantime, if these ass clowns would stop with the impossible gold plated left-right plus bills which seek too much at a time, THEY probably could pass SAFE by itself without much bloviating for a on points win. But we'd have to actually have a vote on what Perlmutter sent over many times previously and could not get done with his own party in control. Maddening, huh?

Why do you think they (will continue) call it dope (in '24)?

Try asking the U.S. Government's ubiquitous paymasters --Big Tobacco, Big Pharma, the Cartels, and of course the Chinese!
