Maybe we are not thinking enough "out of the box"! Maybe instead of trying to get the courts to issue justice, we need to make our support part of the success of a popular social movement. We know there is a group of people in Congress who would bend over backwards to pass an AFFORDABLE HOUSING ACT to support the creation of affordable housing in under served and high demand markets. The FnF shareholders could come out as backing reasonable concessions by FnF to make mortgages more affordable and thus contribute to the success of the program, contingent on FnF being released from conservatorship prior to offering those lower cost mortgages. It's hard to find fault with the idea especially if we come out in support of limiting the materials used to build those houses to products produced in the United States.
