The price of rice fell nicely today. I can guess it is about the California drought is ending. The farmers are the ones who benefit from high rice costs. RIBT has to hedge to protect contracts. if rice falls, RIBT makes bigger profits on unfullfilled contracts. Fallinmg prices help. In 2020 they did not hedge and had to not fullfill contracts or pay farmers to lose money on their contracts.
