Well, my life took a turn about a year back and you were AWOL at the time so it just sort of went on the back burner.
I think the last time we chatted stock it was about pharma companies and the looming pandemic. After I looked around, I ran across an article that was asking everyone to recycle all their glass because the glass companies would not be able to meet the demand for billions of vials with vaccine.
I bought a couple of them and did pretty good. Particularly GLW. I got into the crypto side of it, buying a couple of blockchain ETFs BLOK, BLCN but not because of the crypto bullshit. I bought them because I think its is the future of banking and commerce. ?The blockchain is going to be the way to fly.
I also took a flier on a favorite hometown restaurant that I still have high hopes for but unfortunately I'm seriously licking my wounds there. PTLO is most likely closest to the best Chicago style beef stand cuisine on the planet and I admit that I am a bit biased. There are better places but none off them have a chain of stores like they run or filed for an IPO.
Otherwise I'm just laying low and keeping my nose to the grindstone. New job, new pets and on the dating scene for the first time in 30 years, so not much time to prognosticate.
Plus I want to see where this economy is going to take us. I think the last time we chatted you were predicting a recession and I take your speculation to heart so I'm kind of at a crossroad until something gives and I can get my magnifying glass out again to hopefully find the next GW or AMT...
I'm hoping they start breaking up these large monopolies so some new up and comers can emerge for us. Anyhoo, take care and have a wonderful and prosperous new year!
